TECHNICIANS

Michael D. Ellis, Owner

Michael lives in Olympia and has been a community member since 1988. Formerly an officer in the US Army, he left active duty at Ft. Lewis in 1993 and acquired Dryex in 1997. He holds a variety of certifications within the industry including Master Textile Cleaner and Practicing Senior Carpet Inspector. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Olympia Credit Union and remains active in national organizations. He is past president of the Bigelow Park Homeowners' Association. Formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech and he is an MBA alumnus of Saint Martin’s University.

Lead Technician: Stephen Martinez

Stephen lives in NE Olympia and assists Katie on many jobs while performing some maintenance jobs solo. He has lived here all his life and is often met while checking part-time at Albertsons. (Skip the in-store rental machine and ask for his services!)

Stephen is a courteous, conscientious gentleman who takes great pride in his craftsmanship.

Assistant Technician: Katie Dunn

Katie is a strong, young enthusiastic woman who sees herself engrossed in the surfaces industry for years to come. She particularly shows a keen interest in tile and stone. Cheerful and considerate, she seeks professional development eagerly.
